Remote DevOps Engineer with AWS

Our partner is looking for a DevOps Engineer based in India.

This role is focused on building and maintaining highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure supporting modern software systems and microservices-based applications. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate CI/CD pipelines and improve overall delivery efficiency. A key part of the role involves monitoring system health, identifying performance bottlenecks, and ensuring optimal uptime across services. You will also contribute to improving deployment strategies, infrastructure as code, and observability practices. This position offers exposure to enterprise-grade systems, cloud-native architectures, and performance-critical applications. It is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges while continuously improving system reliability.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining robust DevOps practices across cloud and on-prem environments. You will ensure system stability, streamline deployments, and improve operational efficiency across teams.

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows

Manage and optimize AWS-based cloud infrastructure focusing on scalability, availability, security, and cost efficiency

Monitor system performance using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution

Analyze server metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network) to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system behavior

Manage configuration, artifact repositories, and version control workflows using tools like Git and Nexus

Conduct performance testing using tools like JMeter and support continuous system optimization initiatives

Support security best practices across infrastructure, deployments, and application lifecycle

The ideal candidate has strong DevOps experience with hands-on exposure to cloud platforms, automation tools, and production system monitoring. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 3-4+ years of experience in DevOps or similar roles supporting production systems
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, and server infrastructure fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture best practices
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployments
• Good understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL and application servers like Tomcat or Apache
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack
