Job Description

As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality before they are released to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and user stories.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
  • Identify and document defects with detailed steps to reproduce, and track them through resolution using bug tracking systems.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on testability and potential quality issues.
  • Maintain and expand automated test suites using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes do not introduce new defects.
  • Set up and manage test environments and test data to support testing activities.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Continuously learn and stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications are desirable but not required.
