Qa Engineer : Data & Integration Testing

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with expertise in Data Testing, ETL Testing, and Integration Testing to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of enterprise data platforms and integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience validating data across SAS Viya, Snowflake, SAP, and other downstream systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans for data and system integrations.

• Validate data integrity, completeness, and accuracy between SAS Viya and Snowflake platforms.
• Perform end-to-end integration testing across upstream and downstream enterprise systems, including SAP and ITP applications.
• Conduct data reconciliation, validation, and comparison using SQL and data verification techniques.
• Validate ETL processes, data pipelines, and transformation logic to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
• Execute regression testing to verify system stability after enhancements and fixes.
• Prepare and maintain test execution reports, defect logs, and testing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards, testing methodologies, and data quality best practices.
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• 3–7 years of experience in Data Testing, ETL Testing, and Integration Testing.
• Hands-on experience with SAS Viya (preferred).
• Strong expertise in Snowflake and data validation techniques.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Experience testing SAP integrations and downstream enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data flows, data mapping, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
• Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Good to Have - Experience with automation testing for data validation.
• Exposure to API testing using REST services.
• Knowledge of data migration testing.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data ecosystems.
