QA Automation Engineer (Python + Playwright + Selenium) | 3+ Years | Remote (Delhi NCR/North India Candidates Only) | Upto 10LPA

Our client is looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 3+ years of experience to strengthen our quality engineering practices and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python-based automation using PyTest, UI automation with Selenium and Playwright, API testing, and good exposure to CI/CD pipelines within Agile environments. The role involves a balanced mix of automation and manual testing while contributing to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and quality processes.

Location Preference: The client is currently prioritizing candidates based in North India, with preference given to professionals located in Delhi NCR (Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad) and nearby North Indian cities. Please apply only if your current location is in North India.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Python and PyTest.
• Build and maintain Playwright and Selenium WebDriver-based UI automation frameworks.
• Write efficient UI locators using ID, CSS Selectors, and XPath, including handling complex and dynamic XPath expressions.
• Develop and execute API automation tests, including REST API testing and JSON response validation.
• Create, execute, and maintain manual test cases where required (approximately 40% manual testing).
• Perform regression, smoke, functional, and load testing.
• Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members throughout Agile sprint cycles.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements and drive quality engineering best practices.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Python programming.
• Experience with both manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for UI automation.
• Strong experience with load testing.
• Solid understanding of defect tracking processes.
• Good exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience enhancing or building automation frameworks.
• Working knowledge of testing LLM-based applications.
• Basic SQL/database validation experience.
• Exposure to Docker or cloud-based environments.
• Experience working in fast-paced product or startup environments.
