Project Manager PMO & Oracle Fusion Finance Functional Lead

PMO | Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Support | 10 15 Years Experience

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with a strong dual mandate - PMO governance of

an Oracle Fusion Cloud Support engagement, combined with deep hands-on functional expertise across

Oracle Fusion Financials modules. The ideal candidate will govern support operations end-to-end while

also providing functional oversight and advisory across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP),

Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CM), Expenses, Tax, Intercompany,

and Advanced Collections. This role demands a mature, client-facing leader with outstanding written and

verbal communication skills, capable of engaging CXO-level stakeholders while keeping the delivery

team accountable to SLAs and quality benchmarks.

Oracle Fusion Financials Module Coverage

The candidate must have functional expertise across the following Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules:

Expenses Management

Key Responsibilities

A. PMO Governance & Support Operations Management

Establish and maintain the PMO framework for the Oracle Fusion Cloud Support engagement including

governance calendars, RACI matrices, escalation matrix, and communication plans.

Own and manage the master support project plan tracking milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and action

items across functional and technical workstreams.

Define, monitor, and report KPIs and SLA metrics (response time, resolution time, CSAT, reopen rates);

ensure timely escalation and remediation of breaches.

Chair and facilitate governance review meetings - weekly status calls, monthly operational reviews, and

quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with client leadership.

Oversee incident, change, and problem management lifecycles aligned with ITIL best practices within the

AMS support model.

Manage the end-to-end change request (CR) process from impact assessment and approval through

implementation and sign-off.

Track support contract scope, effort utilization, and cost; proactively flag scope deviations and overruns to

leadership.

Coordinate Oracle Cloud quarterly release reviews, critical patch assessments, and regression test planning

with the functional and technical teams.

B. Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary single point of contact (SPOC) for all client stakeholders - from business users and

finance managers to CIOs and CFOs.

Build and sustain trust-based, strategic relationships with client executives; ensure a consistently high quality service experience.

Proactively communicate project health, risks, and milestones through well-structured written status reports

and confident executive presentations.

Facilitate client workshops, functional walkthroughs, escalation calls, and steering committee sessions with

poise and a solution-oriented approach.

Gather and formally document client feedback; champion continuous service improvement (CSI) initiatives

driven by client priorities.

Manage client expectations on timelines, capacity, and deliverables - communicating constraints clearly

and proposing practical alternatives.

C. Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Oversight & Advisory

Provide functional oversight and advisory across all Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules - GL, AP,

AR, FA, CM, Expenses, Tax, Intercompany, Advanced Collections, Revenue Management, and ARCS.

Review and validate functional solutions proposed by the support team; ensure configurations,

workarounds, and fixes adhere to Oracle best practices.

Serve as the functional escalation point for complex, cross-module issues requiring senior-level analysis

and resolution guidance.

Oversee subledger accounting (SLA) rule reviews, period-close support activities, and financial

reconciliation processes across modules.

Guide the team on Oracle Support SR (Service Request) management - prioritization, escalation to

Oracle, and resolution tracking.

Ensure quarterly Oracle Cloud release impacts are assessed for all financial modules and communicated to

the client with remediation plans.

Review and approve functional test scripts, UAT plans, and sign-off documentation for patches,

enhancements, and cloud updates.

Drive adoption of Oracle Fusion best practices in financial close, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance

processes.

D. Module-Specific Functional Responsibilities

General Ledger (GL)

Oversee support for chart of accounts, ledger configuration, accounting calendars, journal processing, and

period-close activities.

Guide resolution of SLA rule issues, intercompany journal errors, and financial reporting discrepancies.

Accounts Payable (AP)

Supervise support for invoice processing, payment runs, supplier management, withholding tax, and AP GL reconciliation.

Oversee resolution of invoice validation holds, payment format issues, and approval workflow failures.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Provide oversight on AR support covering AutoInvoice, receipts, lockbox, credit memos, and revenue

recognition.

Guide resolution of receipt application errors, aging discrepancies, and AR-GL subledger reconciliation

issues.

Fixed Assets (FA)

Oversee support for asset lifecycle management - additions, transfers, retirements, depreciation runs, and

FA-GL reconciliation.

Guide resolution of mass addition issues, impairment calculations, and depreciation method configurations.

Cash Management (CM)

Supervise bank statement import, reconciliation, cash positioning, and bank account management support

activities.

Guide resolution of reconciliation discrepancies, unreconciled transactions, and cash forecasting issues.

Expenses, Tax, Intercompany & Advanced Collections

Provide functional advisory on Expenses policy configurations, tax rule setups, intercompany netting, and

collections strategy management.

Oversee Advanced Collections scoring engines, dunning workflows, and promise-to-pay cycle support.

E. Team Leadership & Resource Management

Lead a cross-functional support team of Oracle Fusion functional consultants, technical developers, and

integration specialists.

Plan and manage resource allocation, shift schedules, and on-call rosters for adequate 24 5 or 24 7 support

coverage as contracted.

Mentor, coach, and performance-manage team members; facilitate skill development and certification

planning aligned with project needs.

Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.

F. Reporting, Documentation & Knowledge Management

Produce and deliver high-quality weekly status reports, monthly executive dashboards, and SLA scorecards

for client and internal leadership.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation - support runbooks, configuration guides, meeting

minutes, and decision logs.

Build and maintain a structured knowledge repository of known issues, resolutions, workarounds, and

functional FAQs.

Document lessons learned and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the engagement.

Required Qualifications

10 15 years of overall IT/ERP experience with a minimum of 5 years managing Oracle Fusion Cloud

Financials support engagements in a PMO capacity.

Demonstrated hands-on functional expertise across Oracle Fusion GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management,

Expenses, Tax, Advanced Collections, and Intercompany modules.

Proven experience as a PMO lead or Project Manager governing AMS/managed services support contracts

with defined SLAs.

Strong understanding of Subledger Accounting (SLA), period-close processes, financial reconciliation, and

Oracle quarterly cloud release cycles.

Solid knowledge of ITIL-based service management - Incident, Change, Problem, and Release

Management.

Experience working with senior client stakeholders - Finance Heads, IT Directors, CFOs, and CIOs.

Proficiency in project management and ITSM tools: MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, or equivalent.

Outstanding written communication - ability to craft executive summaries, status reports, SOPs, and

escalation communications with clarity and precision.

Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills - articulate, confident, and persuasive in client facing and executive settings.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification - strongly preferred.

ITIL v3 / v4 Foundation or Practitioner certification - highly desirable.

Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud Certified Implementation Specialist (one or more modules).

Oracle Cloud Engagement Manager or Oracle AMS Delivery certification is a plus.

Experience managing multi-geography, multi-org, multi-currency Oracle Fusion environments.

Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), FBDI/ADFdi data loads, and BIP/OTBI reporting.

Prior consulting experience with a Big 4 or Oracle Platinum Partner organization.

Familiarity with IFRS / US GAAP compliance requirements in Oracle Fusion financial configurations.

Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud Certified Implementation Specialist - preferred.
