Job Role

Role is part of the Global Financial Accounting CoE in the Record to Report Function with responsibility in the Project Accounting Fixed Asset CoE. This role will be a Subject Matter Expert in Project Accounting and Fixed Assets for Oracle and/or SAP.

Responsible for testing design setup of Project Accounting and Fixed Asset modules for Oracle and SAP with a focus on ensuring the system meets the needs of Eaton business units. This position is also responsible for collaborating with Information Technology, Corporate Aquisition and Divestiture, and other teams in overseeing the roll-out of ERP implementations and migrations for entities such as those involved with acquisitions divetstitures, transformations and other initiatives. Day to Day Activities: Day to Day Activities

Develop project plans for performing implementations and migrations of profject accounting and fixed asset module data.

Maintain documentation on design of project accounting and fixed asset modules for Oracle and SAP.

Establish standard operating procedures for regression testing and user acceptance testing.

Create user access role design based on business needs and manage fixed asset and capital project data.

Manage project accounting and fixed asset workload to meet multiple simultaneous timelines/milestones across a variety projects.

Process project accounting and fixed asset related transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies, addressing and guiding business units on capex/fixed assets related queries.

Identify and make changes to project accounting an/or fixed asset subledger modules and data to accomodate project needs.

Reconcile general ledger data to project accounting and fixed asset subledger data.

Develop SQL queries to extract data as needed for projects.

Process Improvement & Standardization

Identify automation opportunities, process improvements, and standardization using quality tools (e.g., BPI, EBE).

Drive lean culture and process improvements using EBS tools (Six Sigma, BPIs, RPA, digital tools).

Document standard operating procedures and support standardization.

Support department activities related to process improvements and standard work.

Identify and implement best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership

Provide business partnership and support to various corporate functions and other stakeholders to achieve objectives.

Act as a liaison for updates and communication between teams and management.

Support team members, train new employees, and share knowledge.

Serve as Subject Matter Expert on Project Accounting and Fixed Assets.

Compliance & Internal Controls

Maintain internal controls, including SOX compliance and statutory requirements.

Safeguard assets and ensure adherence to all corporate and financial policies and procedures. Requirement: Professional or Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting.5-7 years (or more) of relevant accounting experience

Experience in multinational manufacturing or shared service environments preferred.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

Oracle or SAP Knowledge

Knowledge of business intelligence/reporting tools and electronic accounting systems.

Understanding of statutory reporting requirements and tax regulations (local and international).
