Power BI Developer – Risk Analytics

Note : Min-Max years of exp- 8 years over exp (MUST HAVE hands on exp of 5 years in Power BI).

Top3 Mandatory skills- Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques (MUST HAVE). SSRS/Paginated report (MUST HAVE), some experience with Risk will be good. Banking domain exp preferable.

Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our team. The successful candidate should possess extensive experience in designing and building Power BI dashboards and reports, with a understanding of banking risk frameworks. This position involves close collaboration with risk analysts, data engineers, and various business stakeholders to deliver analytics that are both insightful and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored for the Risk team.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and effective data visualizations.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, Excel, and other banking systems, to ensure comprehensive reporting.
• Optimize data models and DAX queries for improved performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with risk analysts to understand and address regulatory and compliance reporting needs, such as those related to IFRS 9.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all reports.
• Provide support and training for end-users on Power BI functionalities to enhance adoption and effective use.
• Participate in data governance and quality initiatives within the Risk department.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Total IT Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in IT roles.
• Power BI Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
• Experience working with SQL Server, Excel, and a variety of other data sources.
• Familiarity with banking risk concepts, especially IFRS 9, is highly desirable.
• Understanding of ETL processes and principles of data warehousing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and effective stakeholder management capabilities.
