As part of the Nestingale delivery team, you'll architect and execute a critical migration to Microsoft Fabric, giving the client a modern, scalable data ecosystem. Ideal for a developer who excels at precision delivery and high-visibility architectural shifts. About the Role

We're looking for a Power Query/M expert and hands-on Data Engineer to lead the migration of a complex data ecosystem into Microsoft Fabric and build the engineering backbone underneath it. This isn't just dashboards: it's transforming how data is handled, from raw ingestion in Lakehouses to sophisticated transformation via Dataflows Gen2, grounded in real data-engineering fundamentals (SQL, Python/PySpark, ETL/ELT, warehousing). You'll own the ETL logic end to end, keeping data clean, performant, and accurate as the environment scales.

What You'll Do

Architect the migration: lead the transition of legacy workloads into Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouses, Pipelines) for a modern data stack.Master the M language: write and optimize complex, high-performance Power Query (M) for cleansing, mapping, and standardization.Build robust pipelines: design and manage end-to-end ETL/ELT, integrating SQL Server, SharePoint, and Excel into a unified source of truth.Engineer at depth: apply advanced SQL (querying + performance tuning) and Python/PySpark for heavier data-engineering work.Model & report: build Power BI data models and reports (DAX) on a well-warehoused foundation.Optimize for scale: audit and refactor existing Power Query transformations for maximum performance in Fabric.Ensure data integrity: implement rigorous validation frameworks for 100% accuracy during and after migration.
