Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Plant HR professional to independently manage end-to-end HR operations at our Panvel facility. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Plant HR within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, logistics, warehouse, automotive, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar plant environment.
The role requires practical knowledge of recruitment, employee lifecycle management, statutory compliance, labour laws, payroll coordination, attendance management, employee relations, contract labour management, government liaison, vendor coordination, and plant administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant, production, operations, warehouse, engineering, maintenance, and support functions.
- Handle employee onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit formalities.
- Manage attendance, leave records, shift schedules, overtime, and payroll coordination.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, the Factory Act, statutory regulations, and company HR policies.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, counselling, employee engagement, and performance-related matters.
- Manage contract labour, contractor documentation, statutory compliance, and contractor audits.
- Coordinate with government authorities such as the Labour Department, PF Office, ESIC Office, Factory Inspector, and other statutory bodies.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and external service providers for day-to-day HR and administrative activities.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, HRMS, and HR MIS reports.
- Coordinate with Production, Operations, Engineering, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments to meet manpower requirements.
- Support internal, external, customer, and statutory audits.
- Manage office administration, housekeeping, security, transport, and other plant administrative activities.
Must-have Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources, including at least 5 years of hands-on Plant HR experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, warehouse, logistics, automotive, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, the Factory Act, statutory compliance, employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and contract labour management.
- Experience handling end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, HR operations, and employee lifecycle management.
- Practical experience coordinating with government authorities such as the Labour Department, PF Office, ESIC Office, Factory Inspector, or other statutory bodies.
- Experience managing vendor coordination, plant administration, and HR administrative activities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS.
- Must be located within a commutable distance of Panvel, Maharashtra.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing blue-collar, white-collar, and contractual workforce.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently manage HR operations in a fast-paced plant environment.
- Immediate joiners or candidates available to join within 30 days will be preferred.
Note
- This is a hands-on Plant HR role. Candidates should have practical experience independently handling Plant HR operations and should be able to confidently demonstrate their experience during the interview process.
