Role Overview PartTime Remote Data Scientist

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our AI and Analytics group on a parttime, remote basis. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, statistical modeling, and product strategy, supporting our flagship streaming platforms with predictive analytics, experimentation, and machinelearning solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, content strategists, and senior leadership to uncover hidden patterns, forecast user behavior, and recommend databacked actions that improve engagement, retention, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with crossfunctional teams to define highimpact business questions and translate them into analytical projects.

Design, develop, and deploy scalable machinelearning models (e.g., recommendation engines, churn prediction, price elasticity) using Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikitlearn.

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to surface insights, identify trends, and detect anomalies in largescale streaming data.

Build and maintain robust data pipelines and feature stores in environments such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Hive to ensure reliable model training and inference.

Lead A/B testing frameworks, causal inference studies, and multivariate experiments to evaluate product changes and marketing initiatives.

Communicate findings through clear visualizations, dashboards, and presentations tailored to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with data engineers to improve data quality, governance, and documentation.

Stay abreast of emerging AI/ML techniques and recommend innovative approaches that can give arenaflex a competitive edge.

Present model performance, business impact, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on a regular cadence.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Minimum 3 years of handson experience building, evaluating, and deploying productiongrade AI/ML solutions.

Proficiency in at least one programming language for data science (Python or R) and familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.

Strong foundation in statistical modeling, including regression, clustering, timeseries forecasting, and causal inference.

Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets and extract meaningful insights using SQL and modern datawarehouse technologies.

Experience with cloudbased analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Azure) and versioncontrol systems like GitHub.

Excellent problemsolving skills, with a track record of turning ambiguous business problems into clear, datadriven solutions.

Effective communication skillsable to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

Masters or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Machine Learning, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics).

Advanced expertise in deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers) and naturallanguage processing (NLP) for content recommendation.

Handson experience with experiment design, hypothesis testing, and statistical power analysis for A/B testing.

Familiarity with streamingspecific metrics such as viewer engagement, session length, churn rate, and ARPU (Average Revenue Per User).

Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to craft compelling, interactive dashboards.

Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment, juggling multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skillscollaborative mindset and the ability to build relationships across product, engineering, content, and marketing teams.

Experience with bigdata processing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
