Role Overview Senior DevOps Engineer (Autonomous Database)

Oracle is hiring experienced Senior DevOps Engineers to join its Autonomous Database team, which builds and operates Oracles next-generation cloud database services such as Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP).

In this role, youll work on designing, deploying, and operating highly scalable cloud database services. Youll contribute to production operations, automation, capacity planning, performance optimization, and release engineering, ensuring Oracles autonomous services remain reliable, self-healing, and productive at scale.

Required Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the implementation and operations of core database platform services.

React to product deficiencies by implementing automation, self-healing systems, and real time monitoring and maintain system health.

Become key contributor to the development of platform services, including architecture, provisioning, configuration and support.

partner with distributed teams to prototype and implement new database platform services and keep up with evolving cloud infrastructure stacks.

Continuously innovate and improve the overall platforms and scalability of oracles cloud-based autonomous database services.

Required Skills

Strong experience in DevOps practices, with focus on cloud services, CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.

Experience with Autonomous Database or Cloud Database services. (Oracle, AWS, Azure)

Understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially Oracle cloud infrastructure. (OCI)

Expertise in managing production environments, ensuring uptime, scalability and continuous performance monitoring.
