Role Overview

The Infrastructure Engineering team in Hyderabad builds and maintains Notion's highly scalable Async Task Runner and Configuration Management Platform, powering millions of users globally.

As a Software Engineer, Infrastructure, you will design, build, optimize, and maintain distributed systems that provide high availability, low latency, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence across Notion's cloud platform. You'll collaborate with product engineers, platform teams, and infrastructure specialists to improve developer productivity while supporting the next generation of AI-powered collaboration.

Civil Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Notion's distributed async task processing platform.
• Build scalable infrastructure supporting over 100 million global users.
• Design, implement, and optimize distributed systems for high availability and reliability.

Mobile Apps & Add-Ons

• Improve platform scalability, latency, consistency, and fault tolerance.
• Maintain and enhance internal configuration management platforms.
• Build infrastructure that enables product engineers to ship features safely and efficiently.
• Debug complex production systems with minimal customer impact.
• Participate in production on-call rotations and incident response.

Jobs

• Diagnose production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement permanent solutions.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Platform Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and Product Teams.
