Nodejs backend Developer -

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Node.js Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that power our digital products. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop reusable and maintainable server-side components.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, authentication providers, and external services.
• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT, OAuth, or similar technologies.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and performance.
• Write unit tests, integration tests, and maintain code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices.
• Collaborate closely with Frontend Developers, UI/UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Product Managers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.
• Maintain technical documentation and API specifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and Express.js (NestJS experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Good understanding of database optimization and indexing.
• Experience with Redis or other caching solutions.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2).
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with Git and Git workflows.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and debugging tools.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NestJS.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other message queues.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with payment gateway integrations.
• Experience with AI API integrations (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.) is a plus.
