We are looking for an experienced .NET MAUI Mobile Developer to join our team in Ireland and take ownership of the ongoing development of our established cross-platform mobile application.

This is much more than a maintenance role.

Our application is a key product used daily by field service engineers and technicians. We are looking for someone who can not only develop high-quality mobile software but also bring fresh ideas, challenge existing approaches, and continuously improve the product.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer currently based in India who is looking to relocate to Ireland with full visa sponsorship support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Take ownership of an existing .NET MAUI application for Android and iOS.
• Develop new features and enhancements that improve the experience for field engineers and technicians.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the application, performance and usability.
• Design practical solutions rather than simply implementing specifications.
• Build and enhance integrations with backend systems and third-party services.
• Improve reliability, offline capability and application performance.
• Work closely with our technical director as well as the rest of our team of software development engineers and support personnel.
• Deliver reliable, production-quality releases.

Rather than waiting for work to be assigned, you'll naturally identify improvements, suggest new functionality and help shape the future of the application.

You should be confident making recommendations based on your experience and be comfortable working independently while collaborating with the wider team.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience developing in C# and .NET.
• Excellent experience with .NET MAUI (or Xamarin.Forms with migration to MAUI).
• Strong understanding of Android and iOS mobile development.
• Experience building modern MVVM applications using CommunityToolkit.Mvvm.
• Experience creating robust offline-first mobile applications using SQLite.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating backend services.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience publishing applications to both Google Play and the Apple App Store.
• Ability to take ownership of features from concept through delivery.

We'd Love to See Experience With

• Migrating Xamarin.Forms applications to .NET MAUI.
• Azure App Services and cloud-based integrations.
• Push notifications (FCM, APNs, Azure Notification Hubs).
• Background services, synchronisation and connectivity monitoring.
• Native Android and iOS platform customisations.
• PDF generation.
• Telerik UI for MAUI.
• Sentry or similar monitoring and crash reporting tools.
• Mobile applications used in field service, engineering or workforce management.

About the Role

Our mobile application is central to our field service platform and is used by engineers and technicians every day.

We already have experienced technical leadership in place. What we need is a strong hands-on developer who can confidently own the mobile application, contribute ideas, and help take the product to the next level through continuous innovation and improvement.

Salary

Up to €50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
