Role Description This is a full-time, onsite contract role for a mid-level MERN Stack Engineer. The engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions, implementing RESTful APIs, integrating front-end and back-end services, and optimizing applications for performance and scalability. The role also involves debugging and resolving issues, writing clean and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices. This position is structured for close collaboration with the onsite team to deliver high-quality, production-ready features.

Qualifications

• Strong MERN stack skills, including MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
• Proficiency in core web technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with RESTful API design, integration, and microservices-based architectures.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, indexing, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of application performance tuning, caching (e.g., Redis), and scalability best practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks, debugging tools, and code quality practices.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite, cross-functional team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with other modern stacks (e.g., MEAN/MEVN), cloud platforms, or ecommerce applications is a plus.
