We are seeking for immediate joiners Credit Risk professional to join our Risk team within the Accounting & Reporting Consulting (ARC) practice. The role combines expertise in quantitative credit risk modeling with broader credit risk management and advisory capabilities. The successful candidate will support clients across the credit risk lifecycle, including model development and validation, Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modeling, stress testing, credit underwriting, portfolio reviews, digital lending, supply chain finance, trade finance, and regulatory compliance.

This role requires strong analytical skills, a sound understanding of credit risk frameworks, and the ability to advise clients on building robust risk management practices while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards such as IFRS 9, CECL, and Basel III.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Risk Framework & Governance

Develop and enhance enterprise-wide credit risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.

Assess and strengthen clients' credit risk governance structures and internal controls.

Ensure alignment of risk management practices with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Monitor emerging regulatory developments and recommend appropriate enhancements to risk frameworks.

  • Credit Underwriting & Portfolio Risk Management

Review and assess credit proposals by evaluating borrower financials, industry outlook, repayment capacity, and overall creditworthiness.

Support clients in establishing credit approval frameworks, exposure limits, and monitoring mechanisms.

Perform portfolio reviews to identify concentration risks, deteriorating assets, and emerging credit trends.

Recommend risk mitigation strategies, restructuring approaches, and portfolio optimization initiatives.

  • Quantitative Credit Risk Modeling

Develop, validate, and enhance quantitative credit risk models including Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Exposure at Default (EAD).

Design and maintain Expected Credit Loss (ECL) models under IFRS 9 and CECL frameworks.

Conduct model validation, benchmarking, sensitivity analysis, and back-testing.

Prepare comprehensive model documentation covering methodologies, assumptions, limitations, and governance requirements.

Continuously monitor model performance and implement refinements based on portfolio behaviour and changing economic conditions.

  • Stress Testing & Scenario Analysis

Design and execute portfolio stress testing exercises under regulatory and internal scenarios.

Develop macroeconomic scenarios and assess their impact on credit portfolios.

Evaluate portfolio resilience and provide actionable insights to management on capital adequacy and risk mitigation.

Support regulatory stress testing requirements where applicable.

  • Digital Lending, Supply Chain Finance & Trade Finance Risk

Assess risks associated with digital lending platforms and fintech-enabled credit products.

Evaluate risks across supply chain finance programs, including supplier and buyer financing.

Review trade finance exposures including letters of credit, guarantees, and cross-border transactions.

Identify fraud, operational, political, country, and currency risks associated with specialized lending products.

Collaborate with business and technology teams to strengthen controls and enhance risk monitoring capabilities.

  • Loan Reviews & Credit Audits

Conduct independent credit reviews and loan file assessments.

Evaluate adherence to underwriting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.

Assess asset quality, portfolio performance, and risk concentrations.

Recommend improvements to underwriting processes, monitoring frameworks, and credit controls.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Advisory

Support clients in implementing regulatory frameworks including IFRS 9, CECL, Basel III, and other applicable standards.

Assist during internal, external, and regulatory audits.

Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for senior management and regulators.

Advise clients on credit risk transformation initiatives and best practices.

  • Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Risk, Treasury, Business, Technology, and Data Analytics.

Present analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge development within the practice.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

MBA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent professional certifications are preferred.

Experience

5–8 years of experience in credit risk management, quantitative risk modeling, financial risk consulting, or banking.

Experience in credit underwriting, portfolio management, loan reviews, or credit audit.

Hands-on experience in PD, LGD, EAD, ECL (IFRS 9/CECL), and stress testing model development and validation.

Exposure to digital lending, supply chain finance, trade finance, or fintech risk management is preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of IFRS 9, CECL, Basel III, and credit risk regulatory frameworks.

Proficiency in Python, SAS, R, SQL, VBA, or similar analytical tools.

Experience working with large datasets and statistical modeling techniques.

Familiarity with credit risk platforms and data analytics tools is an advantage.

Strong financial statement analysis and credit assessment skills.
