Machine Learning Engineer Medical Coding Automation (Bengaluru)

Be part of the innovation engine powering the future of medical coding. As a Machine Learning Engineer at OlleyaHealth, you will:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for CPT and ICD prediction, audit risk scoring, and claims validation.
• Build and maintain data pipelines that support supervised and semi-supervised learning from clinical documentation, claims data, and EHR system outputs.
• Work closely with our coding and revenue cycle teams to align model outputs with audit and billing standards.
• Contribute to explainable AI (XAI) features, improving model transparency for coders, auditors, and compliance teams.
• Integrate and test models in production environments using Python, MLflow, FastAPI, and cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Docker, Airflow).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and deploying ML/NLP models in production environments
• Proficiency in Python, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and SQL
• Experience with LLMs, transformers, and RAG systems (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, FAISS)
• Familiarity with U.S. healthcare billing or medical claims data strongly preferred
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field
