About the Role

ATRI Solutions is hiring a Linux QA / Test Automation / DevOps Engineer to build and run the test, performance, and release pipeline for our Linux stack comprising the kernel module, userspace daemon, and edge agent on Ubuntu Server, ensuring stability across upgrade paths, high-write workloads, and multi-process SQLite access.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain pytest-based automated test suites covering functional, integration, and regression scenarios for KMD/UMD/edge-agent.
• Profile system behavior under load using top, perf, iostat, and vmstat; investigate disk I/O and CPU/memory bottlenecks.
• Build and run network-facing test scenarios using curl and basic network statistics tools including netstat/ss and tcpdump against cloud upload/download paths.
• Own Debian packaging and deployment for platform components including .deb builds, dpkg/apt behavior, and conffile handling across upgrade versus fresh-install paths.
• Maintain and extend GitLab CI shell-executor pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
• Write and maintain diagnostic tooling including log extraction, resource monitors, and database health checks in Python/Bash.
• Reproduce, document, and hand off defects with clear live-verification evidence using strace, dmesg, and journalctl before any fix is signed off.

Mandatory Skills – Must-Have

• Hands-on pytest test automation framework design and maintenance.
• Practical experience with Linux performance tools: top, perf, iostat, vmstat, strace.
• Network diagnostics using curl and basic network statistics tooling including netstat/ss and tcpdump.
• Debian packaging and deployment experience: .deb, dpkg, apt, conffile/upgrade semantics.
• GitLab CI pipeline authoring, specifically shell-executor based pipelines.
• Strong Bash scripting for automation, log harvesting, and environment setup.
• Disk I/O and filesystem stress-testing methodology for high-write workloads.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Python scripting for custom diagnostic/benchmarking tooling.
• SQLite CLI-level database health inspection including WAL mode and integrity checks.
• Familiarity with S3-compatible object storage including AWS S3 and Wasabi.
• Exposure to VMS/surveillance systems testing such as Nx Witness or similar.

Platform Context

• This role validates the Linux release pipeline end to end — from kernel module load to cloud upload and download — and is central to catching cross-process contention, packaging regressions, and performance regressions before they reach customer environments
