Lead Azure Engineer

Title: Cloud Engineer (LEAD)

Duration: 12 + months

Location: onsite in our facility at least 4 days a week in Hyderabad, India

Pay: TBD - Targeting 30-35 LPA

Start date: ASAP in the month of July - need immediate joiners

Required

• 7+ years of experience in an IT operations, DevOps, or systems support role (internship or co-op experience considered)
• Experience with Azure/ Azure Services
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and at least one pipeline toolset (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Basic scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, and/or Bash
• Strong written and verbal communication skills -- this role documents as much as it resolves

Preferred

• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900 or AZ-104 a plus)
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, or similar)
• Experience supporting internal business applications or working within a support or service delivery organization
• Familiarity with ITSM workflows including incident, change, and problem management
• Awareness of AI/ML application concepts or experience supporting agentic or LLM-based tools

Service Reliability and Monitoring

• Monitor availability, performance, and health of Azure-hosted internal applications using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Open Telemetry and Log Analytics
• Participate in incident response workflows including triage, escalation, and post-incident review with a focus on reducing mean time to recovery (MTTR)
• Maintain and refine alerting thresholds and dashboards to surface actionable signals over noise
• Contribute to SLO/SLA tracking and reporting for supported internal platforms

Deployment and Automation

• Support CI/CD pipeline operations using Azure DevOps, including pipeline monitoring, failure triage, and basic remediation
• Assist in deploying updates and configuration changes to internal Azure-based applications following change management practices
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
• Maintain infrastructure-as-code contributions under guidance (Bicep, ARM templates, or terraform)
• Experience with Git based repos, pull requests

AI and Agent-Based Tooling Support

• Provide operational support for internal AI-powered and agent-based tools running on Azure, including availability monitoring and incident coordination
• Work alongside engineering teams to understand deployment dependencies for agentic workloads and flag reliability risks early
• Assist with environment validation and regression checks following updates to AI-integrated services

Internal Application Support

• Serve as a reliability partner to the XIO business, helping ensure business-critical applications remain available and performant
• Document known issues, runbooks, and resolution steps to build a shared operational knowledge base
• Respond to internal support escalations related to application health and infrastructure behavior
