Junior QA Engineer - Manual Testing

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality and reliability of our products through manual testing. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their QA career who wants to grow their skills in test design, execution, and defect management within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases across web and/or mobile applications to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Log, track, and verify bug fixes using a bug tracking tool (e.g., Jira).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and clarify expected behavior. Communication is key.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as applicable.
• Help maintain and update test documentation as features evolve.
• Report on testing progress, coverage, and quality metrics.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in manual QA/software testing.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Experience writing test cases, test plans, and bug reports.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Jira).
• Basic understanding of web/mobile application behavior across browsers/devices.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple tasks.
• Able to work with cross-functional and cross-timezone teams.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to API testing (Postman).
• Familiarity with Selenium/.net or similar for automation test maintenance.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows.
