Junior Accountant / Accountant – Fresher

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented fresher to join our team as a Junior Accountant. The role involves maintaining books of accounts, entering transactions, handling basic accounting records, and supporting finance operations under guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily bookkeeping entries in Tally (sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments)
• Maintain ledgers, journals, and records of financial transactions
• Assist in bank / cash reconciliation and ledger balancing
• Prepare simple financial reports/statements as needed
• Maintain records in Excel (basic data entry, spreadsheets)
• Assist with invoicing, billing, and expense tracking
• Help ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and compliance with standard accounting practices
• Communicate effectively with team and staff to coordinate accounting and payment/receipt processes

Required Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (or related) — freshers welcome
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and understanding of accounting principles
• Working knowledge of Tally (data entry/book-of-accounts) — desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (data entry, simple calculations)
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision

Preferred (but not mandatory)

• Familiarity with basic accounting concepts (journal entries, ledger, debit/credit, reconciliation)
• Comfortable in a team environment and able to coordinate with others
