Job Description: We're hiring a Lead Android Developer to design, build, and ship high-quality Android apps in Java. You'll own mobile architecture, performance, and security, and lead a team of Android developers. You'll build secure, high-performance apps for fintech, payments, and high-transaction platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of Android apps in Java
• Define and enforce architecture, coding standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with backend teams on API integration
• Ensure app performance, responsiveness, and scalability
• Implement UI/UX with a strong focus on user experience
• Mentor and guide junior developers
• Manage releases, versioning, and Play Store deployments
• Troubleshoot production issues; improve crash-free rates and stability
• Implement security best practices (secure storage, encryption, root/tamper detection)
• Stay current with Android trends and tools

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Android development with Java
• Working knowledge of Kotlin
• Solid grasp of architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture)
• Android Jetpack (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, WorkManager, Navigation)
• REST APIs and third-party SDK integrations (Retrofit, OkHttp)
• Multithreading and async handling (RxJava, Executors, Handlers)
• Performance optimization and memory management (profiling, leak detection)
• Local storage (SQLite, Room, SharedPreferences, EncryptedSharedPreferences)
• Real-time features (WebSockets, FCM push notifications)

Advanced Skills (Preferred)

• High-scale apps (fintech, payments, wallets)
• Dependency injection (Dagger / Hilt)
• Analytics tools (Firebase, Mixpanel)
• Mobile security (Android Keystore, SSL pinning, ProGuard/R8, OAuth, JWT)
• Mobile CI/CD (Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Fastlane)
• Unit and UI testing (JUnit, Mockito, Espresso)

Leadership & Management Skills

• Experience leading a team of Android developers
• Ability to run code reviews and enforce standards
• Strong ownership and decision-making
• Experience with sprint planning and agile

Nice to Have

• Fintech / banking / payments background
• Knowledge of UPI, wallets, or digital payment SDKs
• Exposure to microservices-based backends
• Familiarity with Play Store policies and RBI/NPCI app security guidelines
