We focus on enhancing customer engagement and delivering measurable growth in Lifetime Value (LTV).As part of our world-class engineering team, you will be working across backend (Java/Node.js APIs), Big Data, Real-Time Bidding (RTB) systems, and frontend (UI) to deliver high-performance, scalable products for the global digital advertising ecosystem.Role OverviewAs a Senior Technical Lead Java Backend Developer, you will serve as both a hands-on engineer and team leader (player-coach).

You will architect and scale backend systems, mentor engineers, and ensure the delivery of robust, high-performance, and low-latency applications for our AdTech and RTB platforms. This role combines deep technical expertise, system-level design, and leadership responsibilities to drive the next generation of our real-time advertising systems.Objectives

• Architect, design, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and microservices.
• Act as a player-coach contribute individually while guiding and mentoring team members.
• Ensure backend systems deliver high performance, low latency, and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend services for RTB and AdTech platforms.
• Architect and implement integrations with global SSPs/DSPs using OpenRTB and other industry protocols.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and enforce best practices across the engineering team.
• Monitor and optimize system performance (latency, throughput, GC tuning, memory management).
• Troubleshoot complex issues (heap/thread dumps, performance bottlenecks, memory leaks).
• Work with large-scale datasets to identify optimization opportunities and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with product, data, and operations teams to support campaign delivery and business needs.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvements in scalability, reliability, and system design.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (equivalent problem-solving skills on platforms like LeetCode/HackerRank may substitute).
• 712 years of backend engineering experience, with at least 23 years in a lead/mentorship role.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
• Expertise in Java, Java EE/J2EE, and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate, Java NIO, and microservices architecture.
• Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills (memory leaks, GC policies, thread starvation, profiling).
• Exposure to Kafka and ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act as a player-coach (individual contributor + team lead).

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in digital advertising/AdTech ecosystems (RTB, SSPs, DSPs, programmatic advertising).
• Familiarity with OpenRTB protocol and campaign delivery workflows.
• Knowledge of server-side scripting and performance profiling tools.
