About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior IoT Firmware Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of embedded firmware solutions for next-generation connected devices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in embedded systems, firmware development, and IoT technologies, with a strong track record of building reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

This role involves close collaboration with hardware, software, and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end IoT products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded and IoT-enabled devices.
  • Build robust and scalable embedded software solutions using C/C++.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to integrate firmware with complete IoT ecosystems.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware, hardware, and communication issues.
  • Optimize firmware performance, memory utilization, reliability, and power efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain bootloaders, device drivers, and RTOS-based applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for firmware design, implementation, and testing.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in embedded systems and IoT.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 9+ years of experience in firmware and IoT development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing firmware solutions for embedded systems.
  • Solid understanding of RTOS, bootloaders, device drivers, and embedded architectures.
  • Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded processors.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using firmware development tools.
  • Experience with hardware interfaces and communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of IoT protocols and standards, including :
  • MQTT
  • CoAP
  • BLE
  • Zigbee
  • Wi-Fi
  • LoRaWAN
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on end-to-end IoT product development.
  • Familiarity with cloud-connected IoT ecosystems.
  • Exposure to firmware optimization techniques for low-power devices.
  • Understanding of secure firmware development and OTA updates.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
