Job Description - TEMPORARY CONTRACTOR — INTERCOMPANY ACCOUNTING

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Intercompany Accounting Contractor to support the day-to-day intercompany operations within the FSSC in Pune. This role ensures continuity of IC transaction processing, matching, and reconciliation across 54 countries while Subject Matter Experts focus on S/4HANA deployment. The contractor will also play an active role in designing and documenting intercompany processes for the new system environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Operational (Day-to-Day)

• Process intercompany invoices and manage end-to-end IC accounting in SAP
• Perform IC matching and reconciliation; investigate and resolve mismatches and disputes
• Support netting and settlement processes and prepare IC balance confirmations
• Post transfer-pricing and recharge transactions in accordance with company policies
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end IC close activities and elimination readiness
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS)
• Liaise with regional finance teams and business units to resolve IC discrepancies
• Prepare and review intercompany reports, providing variance analysis and insights to management
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation
• Maintain and update process documentation and standard operating procedures

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 8 to 10 years of experience in Intercompany Accounting or General Accounting, preferably within a Shared Service Center environment
• Fluent in English (written and verbal) — essential for daily collaboration with European stakeholders
• Strong working knowledge of SAP (FI module; Intercompany and/or Asset Accounting modules are a plus)
• Solid understanding of intercompany accounting principles under US GAAP / IFRS
• Experience with transfer pricing, netting, and IC elimination processes is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Additional European language skills are a plus
