Infrastructure Engineer

• The role

You will own the design, build, and day-to-day operation of the core infrastructure that supports data ingestion, processing, and AI-driven analytics across live factory environments. Reports directly to the Founder & CTO.

Day-to-day you will

→ Manage servers, operating systems, and virtualisation across cloud and on-prem

→ Configure networks, routing, switching, and performance tuning

→ Implement and maintain network security: firewalls, VPNs, access controls, encryption

→ Monitor infrastructure health and drive uptime and performance

→ Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network incidents end-to-end

→ Partner with the development and data teams on deployments and scale

→ Document configurations and shape our disaster recovery and backup strategy

→ Improve operational processes through automation

• What we are looking for

→ Strong system administration across servers, operating systems, virtualisation, and cloud or on-premises environments

→ Solid networking: configuration, routing, switching, performance optimisation

→ Real network security expertise: firewalls, VPNs, access controls, encryption, and best practices for industrial and enterprise environments

→ Sharp troubleshooting for infrastructure, network, and system-related incidents

→ Experience with monitoring and logging tools, and with automation and scripting (Bash, Python)

→ Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing IT environments, edge devices, and integrations with sensors, cameras, and factory systems is a strong plus

→ Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

→ Comfortable working across teams, managing competing priorities, and keeping clear technical documentation
