Front-End Developer (HTML Email Developer)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive HTML email templates from design mockups (Figma).
• Build pixel-perfect, mobile-friendly emails that render consistently across major email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo, etc.).
• Ensure email templates follow industry best practices for compatibility, accessibility, and performance.
• Optimize email code for deliverability and maintainability.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-email client testing and resolve rendering issues.
• Collaborate with designers, campaign managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality email campaigns.
• Create reusable email components and maintain a library of standardized templates.
• Troubleshoot HTML/CSS issues and support campaign deployments when required.
• AEM DAM integration, building Marketo data capture forms for lead gen and email deliverability & response (disposition) tracking & reporting
• Follow coding standards, version control practices, and documentation guidelines.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in email development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Front-End Development with a strong focus on HTML email development.
• Strong proficiency in:
• HTML5
• CSS3 (including responsive email techniques)
• Inline CSS
• Table-based layouts for email compatibility
• Strong understanding of email client rendering limitations and compatibility challenges.
• Experience using email testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Experience working with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver pixel-perfect implementations.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience working with Adobe Marketo for email template creation and campaign execution.
• Experience working with Email personalization and Marketo list management
• Knowledge of Marketo Email Editor and guided landing/email templates.
• Experience with React for building reusable UI components.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript.
• Experience working with design systems and component-based development.
• Exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a plus.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) for email development.
