Job Description & Responsibilities

We are looking for an HR Manager to independently lead the complete HR function for our India office. This is a hands‑on role involving talent acquisition, HR operations, payroll coordination, compliance, employee engagement, performance management, and partnering with leadership on people strategy.

The role requires someone who is structured, proactive, and comfortable operating as the primary HR point of contact while collaborating closely with business leaders and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end hiring across functions such as sourcing, operations, finance, and support roles
  • Coordinate job postings, screening, interviews, salary benchmarking, and offer discussions
  • Drive onboarding and employee induction processes
  • Support learning and development initiatives

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Manage employee records, documentation, contracts, confirmations, exits, and HR administration
  • Ensure accurate HRMS maintenance and reporting
  • Coordinate payroll inputs and liaise with external payroll partners
  • Support implementation of HR policies, processes, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws including PF, ESI, gratuity, leave, maternity benefits, POSH, and statutory documentation
  • Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and external agencies as required
  • Prepare HR dashboards and track key people metrics such as attrition, hiring, absenteeism, leave, and probation status

Performance Management

  • Support annual appraisal cycles, increments, and bonus processes
  • Drive goal-setting, feedback, probation reviews, and development discussions
  • Partner with managers on performance improvement and employee development initiatives
  • Align HR practices with business goals, workforce planning, and organizational development

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and internal communication activities
  • Support a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work culture
  • Build trust across teams and act as a people partner to employees and leadership

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably in a multinational, sourcing, retail, manufacturing, export, or apparel environment
  • Strong understanding of Indian labour laws, compliance, payroll coordination, and employee lifecycle management
  • Experience handling recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, engagement, and performance management
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working with HRMS tools, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluent English and Hindi
