Job Description & Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR & Administration Manager to join Crown as we establish our first manufacturing facility in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

This is a unique opportunity to become one of the founding members of Crown India, playing a critical role in building the organisation from the ground up. As the first HR leader on site, you will lead the creation of the HR and administration function, drive the recruitment and onboarding of our workforce, and help shape the culture, structure, and people practices that will support the long-term success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As the HR & Administration Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading the full HR and administration function for Crown's new manufacturing facility in Lucknow. You will drive workforce planning and recruitment, establish HR policies, systems and processes, and oversee onboarding, training, performance management and employee engagement activities. As a trusted business partner to the Plant Manager, you will also lead industrial relations matters, including union engagement, grievance management and contractor oversight, while ensuring full compliance with Uttar Pradesh and Central labour legislation. In addition, you will manage payroll, compensation and benefits, HR reporting and analytics, and all site administration services including security, housekeeping, transport and vendor management.

About You

You are an experienced manufacturing HR leader with 10–15 years of progressive HR experience, including significant exposure to industrial relations, labour law compliance, payroll and workforce management within a manufacturing environment. You have a strong understanding of Uttar Pradesh and Central labour legislation, experience working with trade unions and regulatory authorities, and ideally have supported a greenfield project, site start-up or major plant expansion. Combining strong commercial awareness with excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, you are a hands-on, resilient professional who can build people processes from the ground up while fostering a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.

An MBA or PGDM in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related discipline is required, while additional Labour Law or Industrial Relations qualifications would be advantageous. Experience within packaging, FMCG, beverage, automotive, engineering or other manufacturing environments will be highly valued, as will fluency in both Hindi and English.

Why Join Crown?

This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping launch and grow Crown's presence in India. You will have the autonomy to build the HR function from the ground up, recruit and develop a high-performing workforce, and play a key role in shaping the culture and success of a world-class manufacturing operation from day one.
