Group Manager – Global Ocean Freight (Supply Chain)

We are looking for an experienced Group Manager – Global Ocean Freight to join our organization based in Gurugram.

Location: Gurugram (Head Office)

Experience: 12–15 Years

Qualification: BE + MBA (Preferred from a Premier Institute)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global ocean freight procurement strategy.
• Implement and Manage RFQ Process for Ocean Freight Procurement for all lanes.
• Conduct RFQ and Freight rate negotiations with Freight Forwarders for worldwide lanes Bulk Lanes like India to US / Europe, Europe to US etc.
• Oversee the RFQ process for lanes with adhoc volumes like India to MEA, Africa, ASEAN, SAARC, LatAm and Europe to LatAm, MEA
• Driving SOB for International Freight for various vendors ie., Freight Forwarders, CHA, Transporters etc.
• Oversee contract management, governance, KPIs, and vendor performance reviews.
• Manage the global ocean freight budget and benchmark freight rates with industry indices.
• Establish new shipping lanes to support evolving business requirements.
• Publish market intelligence updates and monitor global freight trends.

Preferred Background

• Strong experience in global ocean freight procurement and logistics.
• Exposure to cross-functional areas such as manufacturing, sales planning, forecasting, commercial, or supply chain.
• Proven track record in freight negotiations, cost reduction, and process improvements.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
