Full-Stack Developer – Sitecore

Job Description

About the Role: Virtusa is looking for a highly skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our team, focusing on the development and maintenance of solutions built on the Sitecore.AI Content Management System. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of web applications—from back-end logic and API creation to front-end implementation. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between robust C#/.NET architecture and visually stunning, AI-enabled digital experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using C#, Python, React, and Next.js.
• Sitecore Integration: Lead development within the Sitecore.AI ecosystem, including template/layout creation, component development, and leveraging Sitecore Layout Service and JSS.
• Front-End Excellence: Translate UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect, responsive components. Implement complex animations (GSAP) and ensure high performance (Page Speed/Web Vitals).
• Back-End & AI: Develop server-side logic in C# for Sitecore customizations. Utilize Python for data-intensive tasks, machine learning integrations, and custom APIs.
• Database & DevOps: Manage SQL Server and NoSQL databases; participate in CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps/Jenkins.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure the technical feasibility of high-fidelity animations and modular UI elements.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of professional full-stack experience (with at least 2-3 years focused on high-end UI implementation and animation).
• Sitecore Expertise: Deep knowledge of Sitecore CMS (preferably Sitecore.AI or XMCloud), xDB, xConnect, and Personalization.
• Technical Stack: * Strong proficiency in C# / .NET Core and Python.
• Expertise in React and Next.js.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS (Sass/Less), and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Animations: Strong portfolio showcasing UI development skills and GSAP animations.
• Foundations: Experience with RESTful APIs, version control (Git), and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) patterns.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)

• Sitecore Developer Certification.
• Experience with Sitecore Helix architecture and headless implementations.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices (WCAG) for dynamic and animated UI elements.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LM integrations
