We are on a mission to ensure our naaris have an edge in leveraging AI at work instead of being at risk of being replaced by it.

Through our flagship programs, GenAI Ready Naari and the Future Ready Naari Fellowship, we equip our learners with 21st-century skills, real-world exposure, and the confidence to pursue meaningful career pathways. To date, 10,000+ Nimaya Naaris across 5 states have benefited from our interventions, supported by partnerships with leading institutions including the Government of India's Yuva AI Mission.

Why this role matters

For many of our naaris, the technology they touch at Nimaya is their first real experience of a modern digital product. The learning platform and mobile app you build will be how thousands of first-generation learners discover AI, complete real-world projects, track their growth, and step into aspirational careers.

This is not a back-office build. It is core infrastructure for the future of work for the women we serve, and it has to be as thoughtful, fast, and well-crafted as anything coming out of a top product company.

What you will build and own

• Design, build, and maintain Nimaya's Learning Management System (LMS) end to end, covering learner onboarding, content delivery, assessments, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Develop and ship a learner-facing mobile app built for low-bandwidth, mobile-first, Hinglish-friendly access.
• Build reliable backend services and APIs that power both the web platform and the app.
• Develop responsive, performant web interfaces for learners, trainers, and the internal team.
• Build and own AI-powered features across the product, including LLM-backed learner support, content generation, evaluation assistance, and Hinglish-friendly conversational experiences.
• Design and deploy automation that removes manual work from the programs and operations teams, covering email workflows, reporting, data movement between systems, and learner communication at cohort scale.
• Build and maintain MCP servers and agent integrations that connect our internal tools, data, and workflows so AI agents can act reliably on Nimaya systems.
• Integrate the tools our programs run on, for example WhatsApp Business API and notification workflows, automation pipelines, Google Workspace, and analytics.
• Partner closely with the program and operations teams to turn on-ground learning needs into clean, usable product.
• Write and maintain tests across the stack (unit, integration, and end-to-end) so features ship reliably and stay stable as the product grows.
• Own quality across the stack: debug end to end, catch issues before learners do, and keep the platform stable as new cohorts scale.

What we are looking for

• Minimum 4 years of professional full-stack development experience, with strong hands-on work in Next.js, Node.js, and React Native.
• Solid full-stack fundamentals: REST APIs, databases, authentication, state management, and deployment.
• Practical, shipped experience with AI and LLMs in production, including prompt engineering, API integration, retrieval, and evaluating output quality before it reaches users.
• Demonstrated ability to automate real workflows end to end, including email and messaging automation, scheduled jobs, webhooks, and multi-service pipelines.
• Hands-on experience building or integrating MCP servers, agentic tooling, or equivalent systems that let AI act across multiple connected services.
• Hands-on experience writing and running tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright, and a habit of testing your own work before it ships.
• Product management experience.
• Proven ability to take a product from idea to shipped feature, not just isolated tickets.
• An eye for clean, intuitive UX, especially for first-time or low-exposure users.

Good to have

• Experience building or working with an LMS, ed-tech, or learning product.
• Familiarity with integrations like WhatsApp Business API, webhooks, automation tools (n8n or similar), and Google Apps Script.
• Experience training, fine-tuning, or orchestrating AI agents to handle repetitive operational tasks reliably.
• Experience optimising for low-bandwidth and mobile-first contexts.
• Comfort working in a lean, fast-moving team where you wear multiple hats.
