Full Stack Android Developer Intern

Evegro is a tech-driven hyperlocal marketplace that connects users to fresh produces and essentials from their favourite nearby stores. We also operate "Lifafa" our instant delivery service that provides seamless last-mile logistics for both customers and businesses across the city.

We’re on the lookout for Full Stack Android Developer Interns to help develop and scale our mobile app ecosystem- merging smooth, user-friendly interfaces with powerful backend functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the Evegro Android app using Kotlin.
• Work with the backend team to build and integrate APIs using PHP (CodeIgniter).
• Collaborate on new features, real-time delivery tracking, and performance optimization.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code.
• Coordinate in daily standups and team calls to share progress and blockers.
• (Optional) Suggest or implement improvements to UI/UX design for better user experience.

Required Skills

Must Have

• Strong expertise in either:
• Android Development with Kotlin, or
• PHP (CodeIgniter) Backend Development
• Working knowledge of the other stack (i.e., basic Kotlin if PHP is your strength or vice versa).
• Familiarity with integrating and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Ability to debug and test features across different scenarios.

Bonus Points

• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles, XML layouts, or Figma.
• Experience with Firebase, push notifications, or live tracking features.
• Version control with Git/GitHub.
