Role Description

The Freelance Videographer (Social Media Marketing) will be responsible for planning, shooting, and editing short-form video content optimised for social media platforms. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with marketing and design teams to develop video concepts, setting up camera and lighting equipment, capturing high-quality footage on-site, and ensuring that videos align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. The role also involves selecting shots, basic post-production editing, and adapting content formats for channels such as Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms.

This is a freelance, on-site role based in New Delhi, offered as an ongoing, long-term collaboration rather than a one-off project. It requires regular coordination with team members and participation in content planning sessions. The Freelance Videographer will be expected to meet deadlines, manage multiple shoots, and proactively contribute ideas to improve audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Shooting Video for social media campaigns.
• Candidates should possess practical skills in Camera Operation and handling Camera equipment in various settings.
• Candidates must own their own camera and shooting equipment (camera, lenses, stabilizer, audio/mic setup, etc.) — the agency does not provide gear.
• Candidates should possess skills in Lighting, including setting up and adjusting lighting to achieve professional visual quality.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in videography, ideally for social media or brand campaigns.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with basic video editing software and post-production workflows for digital and social media content — additional/advanced editing skills are a strong bonus.
• Candidates should possess an understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices for video marketing.
• Candidates should possess strong visual storytelling abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in New Delhi on a freelance/contract basis.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with creative and marketing teams.
• Openness to a long-term freelance partnership is preferred over one-off engagements.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant video work, especially social media content; formal education in film, media, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
