Job Description

The role involves designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot, building scalable and secure REST APIs, and implementing messaging systems using RabbitMQ. The candidate will also manage PostgreSQL databases, work with high-volume and time-series data, deploy services using Docker and CI/CD pipelines, and ensure system observability and reliability. Collaboration with frontend teams and reviewing UI integrations will also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of backend development experience
• Enterprise-level experience with Java/Spring Boot
• Experience working on Windows and Linux

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (17+) & Spring Boot
• REST APIs, async messaging, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ
• Strong PostgreSQL skills (schema design, indexing, tuning)
• Experience with time-series databases (TimescaleDB or similar)
• Cloud platforms: AWS and/or GCP
• Docker and containerized deployments
• CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows
• Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Understanding of frontend tech (React/TypeScript)

Nice to Have

• Protocol Buffers (Protobuf)
• Offline or air-gapped deployments
• API contract testing experience
