Position: Freelance Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: Remote (India)

Commitment: 23 hours/week (primarily weekends) + on-demand availability during weekdays

Compensation: 500 600 / hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Freelance Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure to support our cloud initiatives on a part-time basis. This role is highly flexible, requiring 2 to 3 hours of dedicated work over the weekends, with occasional, on-demand availability during weekdays for urgent tasks, demos, or brief alignment syncs.

Key Responsibilities

• Solutioning & Demos: Design cloud architectures, evaluate third-party tools, and set up proof-of-concept (PoC) environments or live demos.
• Cloud Migration: Assist in planning, strategizing, and executing seamless migrations to AWS/Azure.
• FinOps & Cost Optimization: Utilize Cloud Calculators and FinOps best practices to estimate costs, analyze budgets, and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
• Cloud Security & Management: Implement security guardrails, monitor cloud environments, and ensure infrastructure compliance.
• Tool Configuration: Set up and configure cloud native and third-party monitoring, management, and deployment tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Cloud Expertise: Proven, solid experience hands-on with either AWS or Azure (multi-cloud experience is a major plus).
• Core Competencies: Strong background in Cloud Migration, Architecture/Solutioning, Security frameworks, and FinOps (Cost Management).
• Availability: Ability to dedicate 23 hours over weekends consistently, and flexibility to jump on short, on-demand tasks or syncs during weekdays.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively demonstrate tools and present solutions. .
