Job Description & Responsibilities
Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing business results and trends, providing financial decision support, modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, and driving business results through the identification of growth and productivity opportunities.
Job Duties
To assist our IT Controller with preparation of daily billing, monthly reports, analysis, and forecasts as well as special projects.
Primary Duties
- Summarize complex data utilizing tools in Excel or other Microsoft based tools.
- Have working knowledge of standard cost methodologies and how to apply them.
- Develop appropriate metrics for the business to measure profitability, expense control, and productivity.
- Analyze financial results, key drivers, issues, and opportunities.
- Reconcile IT related macro data to determine specific variance causes.
- Accurately deliver billing information to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address inefficiencies and variances.
- Deliver innovative, high value‑added financial information to the management team for strategic decision making.
- Support key financial decisions using analytical approaches and modeling.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and routine forecasts.
- Develop increasingly efficient and impactful processes that support business financial needs.
- Support strategic projects through data analysis, investment optimization analytics, pricing and cost valuation.
- Complete ad hoc assignments as needed.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from a four‑year college or university.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years Corporate Finance experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems preferred.
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of an organization.

- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
