Job Description & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, accounting functions, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and provides strategic financial insights to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and financial planning processes.
- Develop financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and explain variances.
- Support management with strategic financial planning.
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws, GST, TDS, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and procedures.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor daily cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Manage banking relationships and financial transactions.
- Ensure availability of funds for operational needs.
- Optimize cash utilization and financial resources. Financial Analysis & Decision Support
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Conduct profitability analysis and cost-control reviews.
- Support investment, expansion, and business growth decisions.
- Develop financial models and performance dashboards.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise the finance and accounts team.
- Establish performance goals and conduct regular reviews.
- Train and mentor team members on financial processes and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in finance and accounting management.
- Strong knowledge of Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
