Finance Manager - Ambattur - Immediate Hiring

• Job Title: Finance Manager
• Reports to:* Managing Director
• Location:* Chennai – Ambattur & surrounding areas preferred
• Function:* Finance & Accounts
• CTC:* ₹8 to 10 LPA

Role Summary The position holder will independently own the books of accounts and act as the single point of accountability for accounting accuracy, statutory compliance, and management reporting. Requires maturity to administer end-to-end finance & accounts processes with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities

• Books of Accounts & Financial Closure
• Independently maintain books as per accounting standards & company policies
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure
• Review/approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny
• Maintain audit-ready records + coordinate statutory, internal, tax, bank audits
• Management Information Systems (MIS)
• Prepare monthly MIS: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, ratio analysis, variance commentary
• Generate segment-wise/product-wise profitability analysis
• Build dashboards for working capital, debtor/creditor ageing, Opex
• Deliver ad-hoc analytical reports to MD
• Compliance & Statutory Filings
• GST: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, ITC reconciliation GSTR-2A/2B, refunds, e-invoicing, e-way bills
• TDS/TCS: Deduction, payment, quarterly returns, Form 16/16A, 26AS reconciliation
• Income Tax: Advance tax, tax audit support, return filings
• MCA: AOC-4, MGT-7, DIR-3 KYC, board resolutions, ROC filings
• FEMA/RBI: Export receipts, import payments, reporting where applicable
• Liaise with consultants/authorities for assessments, notices, queries
• Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Oversee vendor invoice processing with GST/TDS treatment, 3-way matching, timely payments
• Monitor customer billing, collections, debtor ageing, credit control
• Reconcile vendor/customer accounts & resolve disputes
• Other Responsibilities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning with MD
• Coordinate with banks for operations, documentation, reporting
• Drive process improvements, automation, internal controls
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

Candidate Profile

• Qualifications:* CA Intermediate qualified, or MBA Finance from reputed institute

Experience

• Min 12-15 years progressive experience in finance & accounts
• Mandatory: Manufacturing industry. Food processing sector exposure preferred
• Must independently close books + represent company before auditors, bankers, statutory authorities

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of Tally
• Advanced MS Excel: lookups, pivots, conditional logic, basic data modelling
• Solid grasp of accounting standards, GST, Income Tax, MCA compliance
• Exposure to export/import accounting, forex, EEFC handling is an advantage
