Finance Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Chennai

Job Description

Finance Analyst will be responsible and support pricing strategy, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making. The role will work closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Business Leaders to develop pricing models, analyze customer profitability, and provide insights that drive revenue growth while maintaining margin.

Key Responsibilities

• Pricing & Commercial Analysis
• Develop and maintain pricing models for products and services.
• Evaluate pricing proposals, customer contracts, and discount requests.
• Conduct profitability analysis by customer, product, region, and business unit.
• Analyze price realization and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
• Support annual pricing reviews and market-based pricing initiatives
• Perform revenue and gross margin analysis.
• Build financial models to assess pricing scenarios and business impact.
• Track pricing performance against budget and forecast.
• Support monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Present pricing insights and recommendations to management.
• Improve pricing processes through automation and analytical tools
• Develop dashboards and pricing performance reports.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in Pricing and financial modelling, planning systems, and performance reporting
• Good understanding of budgeting cycles, forecasting processes, and financial governance
• Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable financial processes and automation
• Strong communication skills including the ability to work with senior leadership and cross functional teams
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting,

collaborating with outsourced accounting or shared service teams

• Exposure in a relevant role at a SaaS, healthcare services, and/or PE-backed environments would be an added advantage

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of experience in Pricing, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Revenue Analytics, or Business Finance
• Professional certifications (CFA, CMA) or MBA (Finance) degree would strengthen the candidature, but are not mandatory
• Advanced modelling abilities in Excel or Google Sheets; BI experience (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) is strongly preferred
• Experience working with large datasets and pricing analytics
• Timely pricing analysis and recommendations.
