Exim Manager – Imports

About the Role

The Sleep Company is looking for an experienced Import Procurement Leader to manage end-to-end import procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in import planning, international vendor management, inventory planning, and shipment coordination to ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and release import purchase orders based on demand forecasts and inventory requirements
• Manage safety stock levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability
• Coordinate with overseas vendors to track production schedules, shipment timelines, and vessel movements
• Monitor import shipments from purchase order release through goods receipt
• Ensure timely communication of shipment updates and potential delays to internal stakeholders
• Manage import documentation and compliance, including BL, BOE, COO, IGM, and related documentation
• Collaborate with warehouse, finance, logistics, and planning teams for smooth procurement operations
• Analyze procurement data, identify delays, perform root cause analysis, and drive process improvements

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in Import Procurement, International Sourcing, or Global Procurement
• Hands-on experience in import purchase planning and overseas vendor management
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, safety stock management, and demand-based procurement
• Knowledge of import documentation and international logistics processes
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills
