DevOps Engineer- Openshift (Immediate Joiner) 5+ yrs

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced

DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Containerization, and Cloud/Infrastructure technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in

OpenShift and Kubernetes

, along with experience in CI/CD, automation, container orchestration, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain

Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications across development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift resources including

Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Routes/Ingress, StatefulSets, and Persistent Volumes

.

• Develop and maintain

CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release.

• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using scripting and DevOps tools.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot issues related to containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, networking, deployments, and application availability.
• Implement security, access control, secrets management, and best practices across container platforms.
• Work closely with developers, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure smooth application delivery.
• Participate in production deployments, incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with

Kubernetes

.

• Strong hands-on experience with

Red Hat OpenShift

.

• Good understanding of

Docker / Containerization

.

• Experience with

CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Strong knowledge of

Linux/Unix environments.

• Experience with

Git and source-code management.

• Good understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, security, and cluster administration.
• Experience with scripting/automation using

Shell/Bash, Python, or similar

.

• Understanding of

REST APIs, YAML, JSON

, and configuration management.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as

Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or similar

.

Good to Have

• Experience with

AWS, Azure, or GCP

.

• Experience with

Helm and Operators

.

• Knowledge of

Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools

.

• Experience with service mesh technologies such as

Istio

.

• Knowledge of DevSecOps and container security.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (or equivalent)

certification.
