Job Overview

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who can design, build, troubleshoot, and secure production systems. This role requires strong expertise in Linux, networking, and real-world infrastructure management. This is not a pipeline-only DevOps role.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems

â— Design and deploy cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Digital Ocean)

â— Configure and manage Linux servers in production environments â— Set up and optimize Nginx/Apache for high-performance workloads â— Implement reverse proxy, SSL, DNS, and load balancing â— Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery

Production Operations

â— Debug real-time production issues (CPU, memory, network, latency)

â— Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures â— Monitor system performance using logs, metrics, and alerts â— Optimize system performance (kernel tuning, file descriptors, process limits)

DevOps (Practical Implementation)

â— Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

â— Manage Docker-based deployments and container environments â— Automate infrastructure using Terraform / Ansible

Security & Hardening

â— Identify and fix system and application vulnerabilities â— Implement firewall rules, WAF, Fail2Ban, and intrusion detection â— Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments â— Monitor and respond to security incidents

Required Skills

â— Strong Linux command-line expertise (top, htop, netstat, ss, lsof, tcpdump)

â— Experience configuring Nginx/Apache from scratch â— Good understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, reverse proxy â— Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ports, firewalls)

â— Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization â— Experience with at least one cloud platform â— Ability to debug production issues independently â— Knowledge of server hardening and security best practices

Preferred Skills

â— Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities â— Experience with WAF/CDN (e.g., Cloudflare)

â— Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana â— Experience securing Node.js, Python, or web applications â— Knowledge of database performance and security

Mandatory Practical Experience (At least 2 required)

â— Set up a production server from scratch â— Configured Nginx as a reverse proxy with SSL â— Handled and resolved a real production outage â— Implemented firewall rules or Fail2Ban manually â— Tuned systems for performance under load
