DevOps Engineer Experience – Servers & AWS

Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in both cloud infrastructure (AWS) and physical server management. You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining scalable systems, automating infrastructure, and managing deployments across on-premise and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deploy cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, etc.)
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Install, configure, and maintain physical servers (Linux-based) in on-prem environments
• Handle network setup, firewall rules, and server monitoring
• Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Work with Docker and basic Kubernetes deployment setups
• Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch[any one]
• Perform routine server maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting (disk, CPU, RAM, RAID)
• Ensure data backup, high availability, and disaster recovery plans
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment workflows and resolve system issues

Required Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in DevOps/System Admin roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience managing and troubleshooting physical Linux servers
• Familiar with networking basics, DNS, and port/firewall configurations
• Experience with automation/scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git

Nice to Have

• Basic experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Exposure to hardware monitoring, IPMI (iLO/iDRAC), or RAID configurations
• Certifications in AWS, Linux, or DevOps tools
• Experience working in hybrid (cloud + on-prem) infrastructure
