Data Scientist ( 5 years+ exp) Contract remote role - 3 months and can be

This is a full-time, remote Data Scientist role on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data to support product development and business decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and validating statistical and machine learning models, performing exploratory data analysis, and creating data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and designers to integrate data-driven features into products, documenting methodologies, and presenting findings in a clear, actionable format.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, including experience with model development, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.

Hands-on experience in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into practical recommendations.

Proficiency in Data Visualization, using tools or libraries such as Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn, or similar to build clear and insightful visuals.

Advanced skills in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R, or SQL) and familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).

Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in data-focused roles, preferably in a product or technology-driven environment.

Experience working in remote, distributed teams with strong communication, documentation, and time management abilities.

Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), version control (e.g., Git), and basic knowledge of software engineering best practices is beneficial.
