Data Scientist ( 5 years+ exp) Contract remote role - 3 months and can be extended

This is a full-time, remote Data Scientist role on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data to support product development and business decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and validating statistical and machine learning models, performing exploratory data analysis, and creating data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and designers to integrate data-driven features into products, documenting methodologies, and presenting findings in a clear, actionable format.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, including experience with model development, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Hands-on experience in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Proficiency in Data Visualization, using tools or libraries such as Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn, or similar to build clear and insightful visuals.
• Advanced skills in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R, or SQL) and familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in data-focused roles, preferably in a product or technology-driven environment.
• Experience working in remote, distributed teams with strong communication, documentation, and time management abilities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), version control (e.g., Git), and basic knowledge of software engineering best practices is beneficial.
