Role Description The Data Science Mentor will guide and support learners in mastering core data science concepts and tools through interactive sessions, doubt resolution, and project-based learning. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bengaluru and involves delivering classes, workshops, and mentoring sessions aligned with FACE Prep’s curriculum and placement objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining complex topics in a clear manner, reviewing assignments and projects, providing constructive feedback, and helping learners build portfolios that reflect industry expectations. The Mentor will collaborate with the academic team to refine lesson plans, develop learning materials, and stay up to date with current trends in data science and analytics. The role also includes tracking learner progress, conducting assessments, and contributing to a supportive learning environment that encourages continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in data science and analytics, including statistics, machine learning fundamentals, and data visualization.
• Hands-on experience with common data science tools and programming languages (for example, Python, SQL, popular ML libraries).
• Ability to design and explain practical projects and case studies relevant to real-world industry applications.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and support diverse learners.
• Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in an academic or corporate environment is highly beneficial.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Comfort with classroom facilitation, on-site collaboration, and using digital tools to track and report learner progress.
• Exposure to tech hiring processes, interview preparation, and placement-focused training is a plus.
