Role Description As a Data Science Engineer at VectorMind Labs, you will work on designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures that power AI-driven solutions across enterprise platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop scalable data models, and implement robust ETL workflows to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases. Your responsibilities will include maintaining data quality, improving data infrastructure performance, and contributing to the design of data warehousing solutions that align with Agile development practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area, where you will work closely with engineering, product, and research teams to deliver high-impact data solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong data engineering skills, including experience with building and maintaining data pipelines and working with distributed data processing frameworks.
• Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing concepts to design scalable, efficient, and reliable data architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including tools and frameworks used for data integration and transformation.
• Capability in data analytics, including querying large datasets, generating insights, and supporting reporting and machine learning initiatives.
• Solid programming skills in languages commonly used for data engineering (such as Python, SQL, or Scala) and familiarity with cloud or on-premise data platforms.
• Understanding of AI and machine learning fundamentals and how data infrastructure supports model development and deployment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and adhere to best practices in data governance and security.
