Job Description & Responsibilities

Job Overview

Diacto Technologies is hiring a Snowflake-centric Data Engineer to build and optimize modern data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The role focuses on Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and GitHub, with strong expertise in SQL, Python, and data modeling for scalable analytics solutions.

This is a full-time, Hybrid & Remote.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
  • MCS/MCA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows on GCP and Snowflake
  • Develop modular data models using DBT aligned with analytics and reporting requirements
  • Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow for reliable data movement
  • Write efficient SQL and Python scripts for automation and performance optimization
  • Define and enforce data quality, lineage, and governance practices
  • Integrate GitHub for CI/CD and version control of data pipelines
  • Optimize Snowflake performance and ensure cost-efficient, scalable ELT workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable end-to-end data delivery

Experience & Skills Required

  • 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or cloud data development
  • Hands-on expertise in Snowflake (data warehouse design, tuning, ELT)
  • Strong proficiency in DBT, Airflow, GitHub and Sigma
  • Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, or Dataflow
  • Advanced SQL (window functions, CTEs, performance optimization) and Python
  • Deep understanding of data modeling (dimensional, star schema, normalization)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Snowflake, DBT, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized data workflows or Airflow deployments
  • Familiarity with real-time data ingestion (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
  • Experience with data testing frameworks
