Role Overview
As a Data Governance Engineer in the banking and financial services domain, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and adoption of enterprise data governance frameworks, standards, and policies. Your responsibilities will include partnering with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technology teams to enhance data quality, strengthen governance processes, and drive data strategy initiatives. Your expertise in data governance tools, data management practices, and regulatory requirements specific to the banking industry will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technology teams to improve data quality and strengthen governance processes.
- Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise data governance frameworks and standards.
- Drive data strategy initiatives within the banking and financial services domain.
- Utilize strong understanding of Data Governance, Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, and Data Quality concepts.
- Implement Data Management and Data Quality policies and procedures.
- Work with Informatica Data Governance tools such as Informatica Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and Data Engineering Quality (DEQ).
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting & Finance, Data Management, or a related field.
- 710 years of overall professional experience with a minimum of 5 years in Data Management within the Banking and Financial Services industry.
- Experience in roles such as Data Steward, Data Governance Analyst, or Data Governance Engineer.
- Proven track record of collaborating with business stakeholders on data management processes.
- Strong technical knowledge in Data Governance, Data Management, and regulatory requirements of the banking industry.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica Data Governance tools.
- Familiarity with banking data processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.
